Getting In & Out
Finding it harder to get in and out of your car? Access adaptations fitted near you in Hemel Hempstead.
Swivel seats, transfer aids and seat raisers for safer, easier access to your vehicle — fitted and adjusted around how you actually get in and out, not a one-size-fits-all setup.

Which situation sounds like yours?
Start with what's actually happening — we'll point you to the right adaptation.
“I struggle to twist and swing my legs in and out.”
Swivel seats rotate out to meet you, so you're not fighting the door frame or twisting into position.
See swivel seats →“I transfer from my wheelchair and need a smoother slide across.”
Transfer plates and rotating seats bridge the gap between your chair and the car seat, so the slide across is safer and easier.
See transfer aids →“I just need a bit of extra height to get up out of the seat.”
Seat raisers can help with this — talk to us about what's currently available, as our range here is being reviewed.

Fitted and adjusted around you — not a standard fit.
Every swivel seat or transfer aid we fit is set up around your vehicle, your seating position and how you actually move — assessed here in Hemel Hempstead, not guessed from a catalogue.
If your needs change over time, we adjust or recalibrate rather than starting again from scratch.

How do I know whether I need a swivel seat or a transfer aid?
It depends on how you currently get in and out — whether you're transferring from a wheelchair, or finding it hard to twist and swing your legs in unaided. We'll confirm what fits at your assessment.
Are swivel seats and transfer aids available on the Motability Scheme?
Some are — we'll confirm eligibility for your chosen option directly, as this varies by product. If you've been referred by Motability, your adaptation is arranged through your assessment.
Can I try a swivel seat before deciding?
We'll talk you through what's realistic at your consultation, and can usually arrange a demonstration before you commit.
