Turnout swivel seats
The Turnout is a swivel seat base that rotates the car seat towards the door opening, bringing the front edge out over the sill so the transfer to and from a wheelchair is shorter and simpler. It is one of the most economical and straightforward swivel solutions we fit, available in manual and powered versions.

Overview
A shorter, simpler transfer — fitted between seat and floor
Getting seated in a low-built car can mean twisting round and lowering yourself down into an awkward position. The Turnout takes the strain out of that movement by rotating the seat so its front edge extends slightly over the sill, bringing it closer to you and cutting the distance you need to travel.
Fitted between the vehicle floor and the car seat, the Turnout locks firmly in the outermost position, giving you a stable point to hold onto or push against while you transfer. It works well for wheelchair users and for anyone who finds the twist-and-drop into a normal seat difficult.
Choose manual operation, where a side lever releases the seat to rotate freely, or powered operation with a simple two-button hand control. Both are available for 2-door and 4-door vehicles, and for driver or passenger side fitting.

Operation
Choose manual or powered rotation
Manual operation — Turnout / Turnout 4
Lift the lever on the side of the base and the seat rotates freely in or out. Release the lever once you reach the end position and the seat locks automatically.
Powered operation — Turnout 2E / Turnout 4E
A two-button hand control does the work for you — press OUT to rotate the seat front towards the door opening, and IN to bring it back into the vehicle.

Tested and approved
Every Turnout base is 10,000-cycle tested, crash test approved, climate tested, EMC approved and flammability approved.

Turnout BIS — a complete kit for the Ford B-Max
The Ford B-Max seatbelt is built into the seat itself, which creates far higher impact loads on a swivel base in a crash. BraunAbility engineered the Turnout BIS specifically to handle this, and the kit has passed rigorous crash and pull testing.
The kit includes the Turnout swivel base, a vehicle-specific mounting bracket and a seat with an integrated seatbelt, fitted by our team in our own Hemel Hempstead workshops — giving you a complete, ready-to-use solution for this vehicle.

The Turnout base pairs with a choice of crash-tested seating, and can be combined with other BraunAbility solutions to remove the lift from a transfer altogether.
