Overview
Three products. One goal — get you further, with less effort.
Two systems add power to the wheelchair you already own; the third is a standalone all-terrain trike. Here is a brief introduction to each.
SD Motion Assist
A sensor-driven power assist system that attaches to your existing manual wheelchair. You still push — sensors detect every stroke of the hand rim and multiply your effort, so slopes, grass and long days take far less out of your shoulders. Full control stays with you; the motor just takes the strain. A mode switch gives gentler indoor power or stronger outdoor assistance.
SD Motion Drive
A joystick-controlled add-on that converts your existing manual wheelchair into a fully powered system in seconds — no pushing required. Updated for 2025 with a new Yamaha motor, it delivers stronger torque, a quieter ride and longer range. A hand-operated clutch lever switches instantly between powered and manual mode, so you can drive when you want and push when you do not.
SD Motion Trike
A standalone, joystick-powered all-terrain trike built on the Mountain Trike frame, for the ground standard wheelchairs simply cannot cover. RockShox air suspension smooths out roots, ruts and gravel, while all-terrain tyres tackle woodland trails, grass and mud with confidence. The frame folds flat and the wheels detach for the car boot, and it is available in more than 30 colours.
