One switch pad, several functions, both hands free to steer
An infra-red or wireless secondary control is fitted alongside your steering wheel — often built into a spinner knob — so you can trigger indicators, headlights, horn, wipers and hazards with a single finger. Your vehicle's original stalks and switches stay in place underneath, so a second driver can always use the car as standard.
- A control unit is fitted to your steering wheel or knob — positioned left or right of centre, and set for your reach and grip strength.
- Each button is mapped to a secondary function — indicators, dip/main lights, horn, wipers, washers and hazards; the exact set depends on the unit you choose.
- Signals are sent to a receiver on the vehicle's wiring — most installations plug into the existing loom, so no permanent modification is needed.
- The original controls remain live — stalks and switches keep working conventionally, so the car stays usable by any driver.

SmartSteer — multifunction spinner knob
SmartSteer gives you a fixed point to steer from and lets you fire the vehicle's secondary functions from the same hand, without ever releasing the wheel. It's built for drivers who only have one hand free for both steering and switching.

Lodgesons keypad & bleeper controls

Every unit is backlit for night driving, carries a 3-year warranty, and is designed to plug in with little to no cutting into the vehicle's original wiring. Units are designed, built and supported from the UK, ISO 9001:2015 certified, with quick-release mounting on every model — and most installs take under an hour.
R200 range — keypad controls
The UK's best-selling one-hand keypad control, available on a lollipop or steering ball grip. Press a button to fire the function you need while steering. R207 — 7 functions; R210 / R213 — adds front & rear wipers and washers; R213+ — adds sidelight and headlight on/off.
Mini Keypad — for use with hand controls
A compact keypad that sits alongside a push/pull or electronic hand control, so secondary functions stay within reach of the same hand. 7-way wireless keypad, or 10/13-way wired keypad — adds front & rear wipers/washers.
B200 Bleeper — single-button system
Hold the button and it cycles through each function with a bleep; release on the bleep you want. Fits wherever the driver has usable movement — finger, elbow, knee or head. B210 — 10 functions; B213 — adds rear wiper & washer.

GuidoSimplex secondary controls
GuidoSimplex has been building driving adaptations for disabled drivers for fifty years. Their secondary control units are designed to sit alongside the original stalks and switches — never replacing them — so the car can always be driven conventionally as well.

D1094-FR — infrared remote control
Mounts directly on the steering wheel or spinner knob, bringing 12 backlit buttons to your fingertips for lights, indicators, horn and hazards. 12 functions, backlit keypad, rechargeable lithium battery, dusk-sensing headlight activation.
D898F — 5-way secondary control unit
A small, unobtrusive keypad fitted to the dash or adapted onto a hand control lever — a compact option when only a few functions are needed. Lights, indicators and horn; fits to dash or onto an existing lever.
One hand on the wheel
For drivers with the use of only one arm, who cannot release the wheel to reach stalks — and drivers who need a fixed grip point to steer safely.
