Move accelerator control from the foot pedal to your steering wheel
For drivers who can no longer rely on their feet to push the pedals, a GuidoSimplex accelerator ring and brake lever let you keep both hands on the steering wheel. Push or pull the ring fitted to your wheel to accelerate, and use a separate lever at your side to brake.
Fitted, calibrated and serviced from our fully equipped Hemel Hempstead workshop.
How the accelerator ring works
The gas ring controls the accelerator: you push or pull the ring fitted to your steering wheel to accelerate, with no need to use the foot pedals. A separate lever at your side operates the brake.
You can switch between full acceleration and a 50% reduced setting, which makes town driving easier and more controlled. Because the ring sits on the steering wheel, both hands stay on the wheel, so you move your arms and hands less and tire less on longer drives.
Combine an electronic accelerator with our own SDL power steering lightening and your driving can be made lighter and more comfortable still.

916R Ghost Electronic Accelerator
Almost entirely hidden underneath your wheel, so nothing draws attention and your dashboard stays in full view. A smooth downward rotary movement of your fingertips engages the accelerator without strain. Carries UN-EC and Italian Ministry of Transport approval, brake priority so gas cuts when you brake firmly, and automatic disengagement for sharp controlled stops.
916GV Electronic Accelerator
Lets you keep your hands at ten and two while controlling acceleration. Refinished in soft leather, it sits comfortably under the original steering wheel and blends with your interior, leaving the dashboard uninterrupted. Pull the ring gently toward you to accelerate, with a built-in emergency cut-off if a hard stop is needed.
906GVQR Detachable Over Ring Accelerator
Finished in Italian leather and fitted snugly beneath your existing steering wheel. Pressure applied at any point on the OverRing gives gradual, controlled acceleration from your fingertips. Permits full airbag use and a clear view of the dashboard, can be regulated to your driving needs through the IG interface, and disengages automatically for a sharp controlled stop.
Braking
907FV brake lever
A long-arm brake lever that can be fitted alongside any of the electronic accelerators above. Made from aluminium and coated in embossed rubber for grip and durability, with dedicated buttons for the horn and brake locking.
A microswitch means acceleration is automatically inhibited the moment you brake, so the two controls can never fight each other.

Common questions
Can someone else still drive the car using the pedals?
Yes. Acceleration can be switched between the ring and the original foot pedal, so another driver can use the car normally.
Will the ring interfere with the airbag?
No. These accelerators are designed so that airbag deployment is unaffected, and the dashboard stays in clear view.
Which vehicles can it be fitted to?
Any vehicle with an electronic accelerator pedal. We will confirm your specific vehicle at assessment.
Can I have a hand brake lever as well?
Yes. The 907FV long-arm brake lever pairs with any of these accelerators, and braking automatically cuts acceleration.
Is it available on Motability?
