Returning to driving was of paramount importance in regaining my independence and assisting in my rehabilitation

The difference the adaptations you carried out on my vehicle has made to my confidence whilst driving and consequently my independence has been amazing. I felt I was in the hands of people who knew exactly what they were doing. I'm beginning to realise that the key to successful adaptations to vehicles, and any disability related equipment to be honest, is to treat the customer as an individual with their own specific requirements. 

The engineering solution your company provided to the problem was excellent and paid real attention to detail, right down to a slight bend on the end of the brake / accelerator lever to fit the position of my hand. A small adjustment made a BIG difference. Although the fitting required me to make two 450 mile round trip journeys to your workshop in Hemel Hempstead, (where we were provided with coffee and made to feel very welcome) I now know that these were essential steps in getting the correct solution for my needs. The challenges faced by newly disabled people can be daunting and difficult to overcome. For me, returning to driving was of paramount importance in regaining my independence and assisting in my rehabilitation. Thank you for making this as easy and trouble free as possible.


Extremely helpful and friendly

I found everyone I met extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The technician who dealt with my needs did his utmost to ensure all the adaptations were done exactly to suit my needs.

The atmosphere at SDL is very friendly and it was lovely to be welcomed with the offer of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Any queries I have had have either been instantly answered whether on the phone or in person.
